Before you purchase any machine you should always do your due diligence. Due diligence begins with the following steps to ensure you minimize the risk of purchasing a used backhoe.
Inspection along with Operation – You can physically inspect a machine or you can request detail photos and video to determine the condition. Below are important factors that are VERY important to review:
Hour Meter – this is not a reliable indicator so always check the condition of the machine.
Tires – inspect tread and look for gashes on the sidewall.
Loader Bucket, Bucket Cutting Edge – pay close attention to the leading edges, thickness of bucket side panels, and integrity of bucket welds.
Bucket Teeth- check for any missing, loose or worn teeth, or for missing bolts.
Loader Arms- check for any cracks, re-welds or bends.
Boom and Stick – check for spillage, re-welds, or dents.
Hydraulic System – check hoses for any breaks or scratches and check cylinders for leaks or damage.
Pins and Bushings- make sure for a good fit and no movement or abnormal wears.
Stabilizers- check for any signs of leaks, pads are flat and not damaged, and stabilizer arms for any cracks or dents.

Forklifts have recently been used as an alternative to platforms and cranes to lift workers to where they need to be. Forklifts can transport workers to hard to reach areas or for such activities as tree trimming.

Forklift is a small industrial vehicle, having a power operated forked platform attached at the front that can be raised and lowered for insertion under a cargo to lift or move it. Forklifts serve the needs of various industries including warehouses and other large storage facilities.
